aight so its been a while so i figured yall are in need of some knowledge from ya boy

thoughts:

referring to comments made during an open discussion about a certain marky mark whalberg that were made on the anti g skype call yesterday.. i refute any serious allegations that pretty boy himself is a shit actor.

save for the occasional forgettable role versus the real deal roles [four brothers. shooter. etc] mark whalberg has built a career that pans from the early nineties and even the late eighties.

he is an executive producer of critically acclaimed shows such as entourage and boardwalk empire. he holds high influence over creative and being that these two are flagship shows for the channel that reigns king over cable.. its safe to say betting on marky mark is already a gonna end in a bonafide hit.

not to mention that no matter your opinion of one of his hugest successes..at the age of 40 mind you.. its also a safe bet that ted has gone down as one of the biggest cash cows of cinematic history. for an r-rated comedy the combination of mark's charisma and dependable talent plus seth macfarlene [who mind you makes retarded money from fox for family guy and is dating danerys stormborn herself..] in his directoral debut ended up grossing the largest sum of all time for an r rated comedy. this you cannot argue with has been a surefire win whether youre a fan of either talents invovlved.

now i havent started into the work he will be remembered for. as mentioned in aforementioned skype call.. both the departed and moreso boogie nights are shining points on his resume. meanwhile while he makes cash cows doing less serious work he has managed to work with some of the greatest directors of our time: scorecese [sp] and paul thomas anderson. while he was in a less featured role in the departed multiple rewatches with attention to the little screen time he receives shows that he brought his a game in playing the most douchey officer yet you are in his corner after the shitshow that is that plot and his victory over matt douchey damon. this movie landed scorcese his first best director oscar after years and years of robbery. boogie nights in my opinion [i watch a lot of what i'd like to consider quality film and television with an attention to every detail] is a masterpiece. boogie nights will forever go down as one of my favorite movies of all time. the pacing acting cast ensemble and all around vibe that inspects an absurd scene and subject matter... is all on point as fuck. that ratchet ass heather graham; phillip seymour hoffman as a shy faggot; burt reynolds as the scummy ass director; john c reily as the goffy dumb sidekick; and dirk fuckign digler himself marky mark killing it as the coked out young porn star with a huge dick. you can feel his ego oozing out of his pores with every stroke [pause] and marky mark plays this lil nigga to a perfect T. ill end this rant with this scene that never fails to make me laugh my ass off.

- as a nineties baby growing up listening to TLC this shit slaps hard for me. its that feel good summer anthem that anybody can get lost in. particularly the bar structure and witty wordplay that can be overlooked is something cole gets not enough respect for. on top of the fact that he produces almost all of his material is further evidence that this about to be a cole summer.
