| The human ear can hear frequencies from around 20Hz to 20,000Hz--the lowest sub-bass to ultra-high whistles. Through evolution or divine inspiration, humans most like to hear frequencies in ranges akin to the human voice, which is surely no surprise. Timbres matter too. In orchestration, it is said that we can listen to strings indefinitely without tiring, but from the other groups, such as brass, it is nice to have breaks.
In music production, we have a tool called an "equalizer". With the equalizer, we are able to cut or boost whatever frequencies we please. We can boost thumping bass, or cut squealing highs. In mixing, you will often have sounds that sound appealing when heard individually, but do not mesh well as a whole. What sounded good alone may be drowned out when heard with other sounds. Perhaps one sound just doesn't complement another. Very often, lots of individual tracks played together just sounds like an disagreeable mess.
The solution is the equalizer. By carving each sound a certain spot, a certain place, a certain purpose, you arrive at a coherent and pleasing whole. This is done through cutting frequencies, and not boosting them. What may have sounded poignant alone must make way for others in the whole.
So it is with life. Just as there are only a range of frequencies sounds must fit in, so too are our lives limited. What may be wonderful taken alone may not fit in the larger picture of our destiny.

| your stable physical weight is largely a function of how much you put into your body and your activity. you may presently be underweight or overweight, but eventually you will converge at some point.
so too is our spiritual life governed by what we put in and what we do. you may temporarily be subject to circumstances but eventually you will be where you belong.
